Who We Are

Greg Miller PhD & Dr. Christina Miller

About Greg Miller PhD & Dr. Christina Miller

Christina is a Medical Doctor Specialized in Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine. In addition to caring for individual patients at a Mission Hospital in Lilongwe, her focus areas include public health in surrounding communities and improving health education systems.

Greg is a lecturer who teaches at Nazarene Theological College of Central Africa. In addition to lecturing at the college, he helps equip local churches and practicing pastors to bring transformation to their communities through trainings which range from world view to agriculture. Christina’s expertise in primary care and preventive medicine serves as a resource and a driving force for some of these trainings, as well as health talks in churches throughout the region. The Millers seek to catalyze transformation as communities learn more about God, as nationals keep themselves and their families healthy, and as local churches learn how to be the hands and feet of Jesus in their own contexts.

Together, Christina and Greg hope to continue the teaching and healing ministries of Jesus by transforming medical and pastoral education and bringing health to communities.

Our time in Malawi has led us to a unique position in which our opportunities are diverse and our aims are long-term. We welcome you to join with us as we envision a healthy and whole Malawi, where local churches solve their deepest challenges (including health, food security, and education) in sustainable ways using local resources.

Luke 4:18-19 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Reserve Corps Application

Our Reserve Corps program allows healthcare professionals seeking to volunteer short-term to do so in a way that supports long-term Christian medical missions work. CHSC places healthcare professionals in a growing list of Christian hospitals across Africa, Asia, Latin America and other regions. Christian Health Service Corps works to improve access to primary healthcare, surgical services, and community-based disease prevention services. Non-Christian volunteers are accepted on a case by case basis but solely at the discretion of the hospital and CHSC team the volunteer will be supporting.
