Carter Mize is serving CHSC stateside to assist in our organizational communications.
Although young, Carter is an accomplished storyteller and communicator, having served as a reporter for nonprofit news organizations, student publications, and several East Texas newspapers. Since studying journalism at the University of North Texas, Carter has felt the Lord calling him to tell stories about how Christians and ministries are building the Kingdom of God. He has reported on church efforts to vaccinate communities and address gun violence, public health issues like COVID-19 and mental healthcare availability, as well as the work of local nonprofits serving the needy.
With CHSC, Carter will edit and compose stories about our workers around the world and maintain the organization’s online presence through social media.
Carter currently lives in his hometown of Mineola, Texas and attends First Baptist Church Mineola, where he drums and sings for their praise team.
