Our experienced leadership of healthcare professionals prepare volunteers for the unique challenges of medical missions. We believe providing excellent medical care to those who need it as fundamental to our Christian calling.
Our growing staff include leaders in the medical missions field. We provide top-notch care and operational support for over 30 Christian mission hospitals across five continents.
You are needed.
Half the world lives without basic healthcare, making the role of medical missions more imperative than ever.
CHSC enables you to serve in mission hospitals on the front lines of the global health crisis. The hospitals we support provide some of the best care available in their regions.
Our providers train local physicians and health professionals in and outside of hospital settings to improve care for generations to come.
Long-term medical missions
Make the biggest impact possible with long-term medical missions. Your service can improve the quality and sustainability of healthcare for thousands of people.
We know how to care for medical missionaries. CHSC’s member care initiatives are specifically designed to address the challenges of working in medicine.
Long-term service commitment is a minimum of 3 years.
Short-term medical missions
The CHSC Reserve Corps offers short-term medical missions that support long-term development and emphasize quality of care.Â
We maximize your time and efforts by sending you to established mission hospitals to work alongside long-term staff, with positions available across five continents.
Time of commitment ranges from two weeks to one year, depending on your profession and location.
Where are you called?
CHSC builds community and Church capacity for healthcare by identifying and addressing barriers to improving healthcare and walking in partnership to overcome those barriers.
We partner with 30+ hospitals across five continents.
Medical missions opportunities
All medical/ nursing and allied health professionals are needed – including pharmacists, physical therapists, dentists, optometrists, PAs and NPs. Our most pressing needs for short- and long-term medical missionaries include:
- OB/GYNs
- Surgeons – all specialties
- Anesthesia Providers
- OR Nurses, Post-operative / ICU Nurses
- Pediatricians
- Family Medicine
- Architects and engineers
- Nonmedical operational support in the US and overseas: IT, communications, administration and more
Are you a surgical provider looking for a medical mission trip with a long-term impact? CHSC Reserve Corps is looking for volunteers to use their skills in low- and middle-income countries.
We are seeking volunteer surgeons of all specialties – anesthesia providers, scrub-techs, OR nurses, perioperative care nurses, pediatric ICU nurses, inpatient pediatricians and more.Â
Many of our partner facilities are unable to offer specialty surgeries for adults or children without the help of surgical volunteers. Using a combination of volunteers and CHSC long-term healthcare professionals, our Reserve Corps Surgical Teams bring specialized surgery to children and adults that need it most.
