Jessica began working as a Physician Assistant in Family Medicine in 2016 after graduating from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She became a believer at a young age and has had incredible opportunities to travel and see the Lord work on multiple continents. She had always felt the Lord pulling her toward working overseas and moved to Ethiopia in 2019 for an internship in tropical medicine. She then moved to Zambia in 2020 to join the team at Mukinge Mission Hospital and served most of that time in Pediatrics while continuing to develop a desire to decrease under 5 mortality and malnutrition rates. In 2025, Jessica will be stepping out of full-time work in the hospital and into a more supportive role working in preventative healthcare through CHSC while still living and serving in Zambia.
