From a young age, Mary knew God was calling her to missions. At just five years old, she told her mother that one day she would serve as a missionary—and today, that lifelong calling is becoming a reality. Mary is stepping into her role as CHSC’s first missionary teacher, serving in Kapsowar, Kenya, where she will provide education and support to missionary kids whose families are dedicating their lives to healthcare ministry.
Mary is a proud mother of three children—her daughter, Megan, and twin sons, Jacob and Jared—all of whom graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas. With over 12 years of teaching experience, Mary has worked in private, Classical charter, and public schools, as well as leading Bible studies for all ages. Her passion for both education and faith has shaped her journey, equipping her to pour into the lives of students in a cross-cultural mission setting.
Mary holds a degree in teaching from Texas Woman’s University and a Master’s Degree in Global Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. In addition to her teaching career, she has spent the past three years as a researcher for iBible, working on both Old and New Testament studies.
Serving at Kapsowar
Mary will be serving at AIC Kapsowar Mission Hospital, a 130-bed referral hospital in central Elgeyo Marakwet County, Kenya. Founded in 1934, this hospital has grown from a small dispensary to the largest referral hospital in the region. The hospital provides quality medical care to underserved communities while sharing the love of Christ. It is staffed by a team of North American and Kenyan-trained physicians and surgeons, working together to improve healthcare access and train future medical professionals.
As a missionary teacher, Mary will play a vital role in supporting the education of children whose parents are serving at Kapsowar. By ensuring these children receive a strong academic and spiritual foundation, she helps make it possible for medical missionaries to continue their work knowing their families are cared for.
Join Mary’s Mission
Mary is embarking on this journey in faith, trusting God’s provision as she steps into this new role. She invites others to join her in this mission through prayer, encouragement, and financial support.
