No matter which CHSC medical missionary you are connected with, we strive to support and equip them in every facet of missionary life. One component of that support is training, such as the Medical Missions 101 Gathering that CHSC hosted on May 19th in Plano, Texas. That 1-day event was packed full of practical training from doctors and nurses that are actively engaged in missionary medicine. One of those doctors was CHSC pediatrician, Judith Blumhofer, who serves at Hospital Loma de Luz in Balfate, Honduras. Her patient load would not allow for her to travel to East Texas, so we brought her to the conference via a video phone call. Dr. Judy discussed the foundation of pediatric bubble CPAP, and then commenced to build a working model as we all observed via a large screen projector!
The information that was shared by Dr. Judy and others in that one day was (and is) life-saving!
