The Christian Health Service Corps is a Medical Missionary sending organization; we exist to help you serve where God has called you. The positions listed on this page are only partial list of volunteer service opportunities. If there is a location you feel called to serve that is not listed it is likely we can assist you in locating a health program in that country or region. We can also assist you with serving programs in which you may have already served short-term. Unless otherwise stated, positions listed here require self-funding.

Africa
CAMEROON
Teaching Hospital Needs Short Term Attending Physicians (All Specialties)
We are looking for medicine sub-specialty physicians for 2 to 4 weeks to teach African medical residents. Pediatrics, OB/GYN’s, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Pulmonary, Cardiology and ER are all welcome to help build the next generation of African Physicians. This program is considered the top medical teaching program in Cameroon and is directed by North American missionaries. The schedule for your time will be teaching rounds in the AM, off mid day, and a short lecture late in the afternoon.
We are also looking for a Pediatrician to serve long term as director of Pediatrics in the same program; minimum commitment is 2 years but may consider shorter term for the right individual.
Ethiopia
Clinic Manager, Ethiopia. Needed ASAP
We are looking for a Registered Nurse; NP, U.S. licensed Physician, or PA, to act as Clinic Manager in a remote area of the Ethiopian highlands. Minimum one Year commitment required beginning in February/March 2011. This health program pays no salary but covers all expenses related to travel to/from Ethiopia, and working and living in Ethiopia (Visa’s, immunizations, airfare, room and board, medical & life insurance). They will also pay for roundtrip tickets for a visit to the U.S. or Canada after one year.
Public Health and Education Director, Ethiopia
We are looking for a RN, NP, PA, Physician, or MPH with a background in community/public health missions to act as Public Health Director for a minimum of 1 year. The position will become open in August/September 2011. This position pays no salary but covers all expenses related to travel to/from Ethiopia, and working and living in Ethiopia (Visa’s, immunizations, airfare, room and board, medical & life insurance.
Health Center Medical Director, Ethiopia
We are looking for A U.S. licensed Physicians to act as Medical Director for a minimum of 1 year at a Health Center/ Public Health and orphan program in a remote area of the Ethiopian highlands. Medical Director for Health Clinic (Kenya)
Health program with a Clinic, HIV Treatment Center, Mobile Medical, Education program, and orphan program is in need of a medical director. U.S. licensed Physicians or Physician Assistants. The position will be open in Fall 2011. This health program pays no salary but covers all expenses related to travel to/from Kenya, and working and living in Kenya (Visa’s, immunizations, airfare, room and board, medical & life insurance). They will also pay for roundtrip tickets for a visit to the U.S. after one year.

Christian mission hospital with functional OR in Kenya is in need of surgical and anesthesia volunteers short and long term. There is a minimum service commitment three to six weeks.
Christian health program seeks long-term primary care missionaries: Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant to work in their HIV/AIDS TB treatment program in Kenya. Minimum commitment is one year.
Malawi
HIV/AIDS Program Staff (Malawi)
Physicians needed for HIV/AIDS TB treatment program in Malawi. HIV/TB care experience is NOT required, will train but a minimum one year commitment is required.
Physicians needed for HIV/AIDS TB treatment program in Malawi short-term. Supplemental medical staff are needed short-term a few times per year to allow for staff furloughs and CME conference attendance by staff. Dates selected by facility.
Republic of the Congo
Hospital Staff (Republic of the Congo)
Christian mission hospital with functional OR in the Republic of the Congo is in need of surgical and anesthesia volunteers short-or long term. Physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants are also needed short and long term. Minimum service commitment is two to three weeks. Allied health service opportunities are also available.
Sierra Leone
Hospital Staff (Sierra Leone)
A mission hospital/health program under development in Sierra Leone is seeking long-term missionary applicants from physicians, nurses and allied health professionals. Service requirements are variable long-term preferred, but once the program is fully operational there will be short-term opportunities available medical, nursing and allied health professionals.

Hospital Staff
Mission Hospital in Bangladesh has needs for Physicians in all specialties, with a high priority on Surgical and OB/GYN. Allied Health and Nursing staff is also needed. There is a minimum service commitment of only two weeks for some providers.
India

There are multiple positions and service opportunities available for missionary healthcare providers in all specialties throughout India. Service commitments vary.
Indonesia
Hospital Staff
Mission Hospital with functional OR in Indonesia seeks physicians in all specialties and allied health providers including medical laboratory technologists. Surgeons and anesthesia providers are a priority need; minimum service commitment two weeks for all providers.
Pakistan
Hospital Staff (Pakistan)
Due to the recent floods in Pakistan it remains our highest priority for volunteer staffing in Asia at present. Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants in all specialties needed for Christian Mission Hospital in Pakistan short and long-term. There is a minimum commitment of two weeks; you will be providing inpatient and outpatient care.
Director of Christian School of Nursing (Pakistan)
Nursing Professional with administrative experience needed for this missionary position. PHD in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing preferred. Housing is provided but you will need to raise support for other living expenses. There is a minimum commitment of two years.

Health Program Staff
A Female Nurse Practitioner, physician, or PA, is needed to Serve In orphanage clinic in rural Haiti. Minimum one year commitment required.
Hospital Staff
Orthopedic Surgeon, Ophthalmologist, OB/GYN, Anesthesiologist / Anesthetist, needed short or long term for mission hospital with a functional Surgical Suite. Service Commitment two weeks to two years.
Honduras
Hospital Staff
Mission Hospital in rural Honduras seeks volunteer providers for short and long term: Physicians, Nurse Practitioners in all specialties are needed. Pediatricians, primary care and OB/GYN are the highest priority.
Health Program Staff
Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner missionary is needed to serve as a projects coordinator for Community Health Evangelism, Nutrition and Child Survival Programs in Mosquito Coast region of Honduras Central America. Field experience preferred but not necessary. Room and board expenses for this position will be covered by the Christian Health Service Corps.
