his computer-based training program (CBT) is based on the case management guidelines developed by WHO and UNICEF for the
integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI). The program teaches health workers about the effective management of sick children between one week and five years of age. It was designed for health workers who manage sick children at first-level health facilities, including outpatient services of hospitals, health centers, health posts, dispensaries, and clinics. This program can be used as a core learning tool within in-service or continuing education training courses, as well as within pre-service academic programs for doctors, nurses, and other health professionals.
Integrated Management of Childhood Illness
The Quality Assurance Project (QAP) developed this program in collaboration with the World Health Organization Department of Child and Adolescent Health and Development (WHO/CAH), with funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development Global Health Bureau (USAID/GHB) and WHO/CAH.
