Soddo Christian Hospital

Soddo Christian Hospital has an inpatient capacity of around 200 beds. It is located in the highlands of Ethiopia south of Addis Ababa. The inpatient wards include: surgical, maternity, medicine/pediatrics and orthopedic. Current long-term expatriate staff include general surgeon, orthopedic surgeon, family medicine.

Myung Sung Medical College and Medical Center

Myungsung Christian Medical Center (MCM) has an patient capacity of around 248 beds. It is located at the eastern part of Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. The inpatient wards include surgical, medical, pediatrics, OBGYNs, ER and intensive care. MCM offers ophthalmologic, dental, hemodialysis as part of community health programs. Current long-term expatriate staff include 3 American general surgeons, 1 American family physician, 1 neurosurgeon one US orthopedic surgeon, 1 Canadian pediatric surgeon, 1 Korean nephrologist, 1 Korean radiologist, 1 Korean ophthalmologist and 1 Korean dentist. There are approximately 30 Ethiopian general practitioners and specialists.

Christian Health Service Corps is an interdenominational Christian mission that holds the Apostles' Creed as our Christian Statement of Faith. The key qualification for missionary service is being a true disciple of Jesus.

Reserve Corps Application

Our Reserve Corps program allows healthcare professionals seeking to volunteer short-term to do so in a way that supports long-term Christian medical missions work. CHSC places healthcare professionals in a growing list of Christian hospitals across Africa, Asia, Latin America and other regions. Christian Health Service Corps works to improve access to primary healthcare, surgical services, and community-based disease prevention services. Non-Christian volunteers are accepted on a case by case basis but solely at the discretion of the hospital and CHSC team the volunteer will be supporting.
